Space Descriptions
You can reserve these spaces in the Graduate Life Center by contacting the GLC Welcome Center in the main lobby for meeting rooms and the Graduate Student Lounge, or the Event Planning Office for the Auditorium, GLC Plaza and Amphitheatre, or Multipurpose Room.
Auditorium
This 550-seat theater is reserved through the Event Services Office. Event Services provides production support for lighting and sound. This is the perfect venue for theatrical and performance events, speakers, and large presentations. It can be reserved on weekends and after 5 p.m. on weekdays.
Graduate School Dean Karen DePauw addresses the crowd at the dedication of the Graduate Life Center plaza and fountain.
GLC Plaza & Amphitheatre
This outdoor space can be reserved through the Event Services Office. It includes cafe tables and chairs, stage, lawn seating, and a fountain. The venue is ideal for readings, skits, speakers, and more. Event Services provides production support for lighting and sound.
Multipurpose Room
This 4,000+ square-foot space accommodates events like banquets, dances, receptions, exhibits, and large meetings. Maximum occupancy is based on setup style. The Multipurpose Room is reserved through the Event Services Office. Event Services provides production support for lighting and sound.
Graduate Student Lounge
The Graduate Student Lounge provides a relaxed space where graduate students can gather for informal meetings and events. It can be partitioned into two separate rooms, a TV Lounge, complete with a TV and armchairs, and the Student Lounge with armchairs and a desk space.
Meeting Room A
This small meeting room seats 8-12 people around a large conference table. A laptop can be connected to a wall-mounted display for projection and sound.
Meeting Room B
A conference room with tables set in a hollow square, seating 30. It is a "Zoom Room" that can host your Zoom meetings and project wirelessly.
Meeting Room C
A conference room with tables set in a hollow square, seating 30. It is a "Zoom Room" that can host your Zoom meetings and project wirelessly.
Meeting Room D
A small meeting room with tables in a hollow square layout, accommodating 16 people. It contains a dry erase wall, and a display with HDMI connectivity for projection and sound from laptop.
Meeting Room F
A large meeting room with theater-style seating for 50 people. It has one table in the front and three tables at the back. It is a "Zoom Room" that can host your Zoom meetings and project wirelessly.
