Several Walk-In services are offered weekly at the GLC when school is in session and no appointment is needed!
Reserve a Space in the GLC
Graduate students, graduate student organizations, and graduate faculty can reserve spaces in the Graduate Life Center for academic, professional, and recreational events that serve the graduate community. Email glc@vt.edu with your reservation request.
GLC Café
The GLC Café is held weekly, year-round, in the Reading Room on Thursdays 3:30-5:00pm, and on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month when school is in session during the fall and spring semesters. Stop by to enjoy snacks, tea, coffee, and conversation with fellow graduate students and Graduate School staff.
Coffee in Student Organization Area
A Keurig machine is set up for coffee, tea, and hot water in the Student Organization Area, across from Au Bon Pain. This service is open during GLC operational hours, and donations for K-cups are appreciated
Open Study Areas
The GLC has many open study areas for graduate students after building hours. Meeting Room D, Reading Room, Studey Room, Student Lounge, and the Nook are available for after hours study sessions.
